Great Food and Views at The Boathouse in Disney Springs

Disney Springs is the place to be for guests who won't be spending the day in the parks. the place is littered with fun live entertainment, beautiful scenery, and of course delicious food. There is seemingly no end to the amount of snacks available for salty and sweet lovers alike. With so many alluring smells to accompany your stroll, it can be difficult to choose where to stop for a meal. If you're looking for the total package in one restaurant we suggest giving The Boathouse a try. We went recently and were blown away with our experience!

Upon entering The Boathouse you are greeted with a lively atmosphere paired with terrific theming. The nautical setting includes dreamboats from the '30s, '40s, and '50s to go along with various maritime components. There is an option to sit at a table that is built into a boat if you want to go the extra mile to entertain your group. The sensational décor is complimented perfectly by music to create an overall great vibe.

Prefer outdoor dining? The Boathouse offers an amazing waterside experience out on the dock. Here you'll take in the sight of amphicars and water taxis as they idle by during your relaxing meal. When the weather is right, there is no denying the hidden magic to be found on the docks. And if you are looking to join in on the amphicar action after lunch, you can book your own 20-minute guided tour for 3 at the Boathouse Boatique adjacent to the restaurant.

Service at The Boathouse is phenomenal. You will never feel rushed or neglected and can navigate your meal at your own pace. The entire staff takes pride in elevating the dining experience of each guest. They truly make a lasting impression that cannot be understated.

Looks can be deceiving, but not here at The Boathouse. The pleasing aesthetics are matched by fantastic food. There is a sizeable menu without any weak links, but we're happy to share some of our favorites with you!

  • Appetizers: We started things off with a couple appetizer options. The hand breaded coconut shrimp were fresh and cooked to perfection. The golden breading had the right crunch while the shrimp were tender and clean to make the perfect bite every time. The dish came with grilled pineapple salsa and orange chili sauce to add a nice burst of flavor. We also ordered the firecracker shrimp served with sriracha spicy mayo, chilis and sweet peppers. This dish is a mix of tangy, sweet and spicy flavors that combine to create a fabulous taste that we will not soon forget.

  • Entrée: We kept the seafood train rolling with the jumbo lump crab cake as our entrée. Once again the dish was perfectly cooked and obviously fresh. Packed with crab meat, the cake was creamy goodness. If you are a fan of crab or crab cakes we highly recommend this one.

  • Beverages: The Boathouse specialty list offers flavors for any palate so feel free to find your preference. We went with the Blueberry Lemonade and the Shipwreck. The Blueberry Lemonade is comprised of Stoli blueberry, Western Son lemon vodka, homemade lemonade and fresh blueberries. The Shipwreck includes Marti Gold and Silver Rum, Passoa, fresh tropical juices, fresh oranges and cherries. Both of these drinks were delicious and absolutely refreshing. We recommend giving them a try if these flavors sound appealing to you.
