'Ohana Dinner Review

Walt Disney World's resorts are brimming with fantastic dining options that some guests may not be familiar with. One such resort is Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. This peaceful, tropical oasis is home to a restaurant that is as charming as it is delicious: 'Ohana.

'Ohana means family, and you will be treated like family by the restaurant's fantastic staff from the moment you arrive. Sticking with that theme, the meal is served family style so there's no need to get up once you're seated. Just sit back as your 'cousin' rolls out your courses.

'Ohana operates on a pre-fixe menu that costs $55 per adult and $33 per child. All courses and non-specialty drinks are included in the price. Your meal will flow along in a specific order.

  • Starters: Mixed Green Salad with Citrus Vinaigrette, Pineapple Coconut Bread with Honey Butter.

  • Appetizers: Honey-Coriander Chicken Wings, Pork Dumplings Tossed in Garlic-Chili Sauce.

  • Entrée: 'Ohana Dinner Skillet including Wood-Fire Grilled Teriyaki Beef, Spicy Peel-n-eat Shrimp, Grilled Chicken with Chimichurri Sauce, 'Ohana Noodles, and Roasted Broccolini.

  • Dessert: 'Ohana Pineapple Coconut Bread Pudding Topped with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and Homemade Caramel Sauce.

The pork dumplings tossed in garlic-chili sauce was the clear standout in the early portion of the meal. The meats from the 'Ohana Dinner Skillet are great and bursting with flavor. Be careful not too over-indulge here though; dessert is absolutely worth saving room for. The 'Ohana Pineapple Coconut Bread Pudding is a sweet-tooth dream. The perfect combination of hot and cold, this dessert is the “Happily Ever After” to your dining experience.

If you time your reservation right, ‘Ohana offers a little extra magic. During 'Disney Enchantment', Magic Kingdom’s nightly firework show, the restaurant plays the audio to go along with it. Some tables also have a distant view of the beloved castle. You can catch dinner and a show!

'Ohana reservations are highly recommended and are often snatched up quickly. Contact a TTC travel advisor for more information and a free no-obligation quote!
