The Hidden Gem of Walt Disney World's Grand Floridian Resort

Directly across Seven Seas Lagoon from Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom park sits one of our favorite deluxe resorts on property: Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. This beautiful beach resort transports guests back in time to the late 19th century with sophisticated grace. It is also home to an absolute gem that not enough people are talking about.

Stroll inside the lobby to find the Grand Floridian's newest addition; the Enchanted Rose. Inspired by Beauty and the Beast, this lounge is well worth the stop. The theming is not too strong with a subtle French elegance. The bar is illuminated by a gorgeous chandelier inspired by Belle's ball gown. There are rooms influenced by the library and forest from the movie. Look around to find some of your favorite characters! If outdoor seating is more of your thing, there is an outdoor patio with a fantastic view.

Come on and lift your glass! The Enchanted Rose offers a small but delicious food menu highlighted by their truffle fries topped with parmesan. The true winners here are the cocktails. There is a wide variety to choose from, but two in particular come with a little more. Ordering the Amour (love) or Envie cocktails will score you tableside magic. A server will come to your table (or to the bar) and tell you a story as they create your concoction. Call it a cocktail as old as time.

Maybe the greatest feature of the Enchanted Rose is its accessibility. You can get to the Grand Floridian resort using nearly any form of transportation from Magic Kingdom. It sits perfectly on the monorail loop for a quick and convenient trip. You could hop on a relaxing boat ride from the entrance of the park using a water taxi. If bus transportation is more your speed, go for it. Feel like traveling by foot? There's even a walking trail from Magic Kingdom to the Grand Floridian!

So when the crowds are crazy and the heat gets real, overcome the midday slump with an enchanted pick-me-up. Or swing by for a nightcap then head to the beach to view the Magic Kingdom fireworks and the Electrical Water Pageant! Either way, you won't be gloomy or complaining while the lounge is entertaining. Contact a TTC travel advisor for more information and your free no-obligation quote today!
